Le 3 juillet 2019, le club organisait sa deuxième épreuve en nocturne de l’année, le prix VELOLAND SERGE GALLAND. L’ECMV avait engagé 20 coureurs dans les catégories D open et 3 et J.
La course se déroulait sur le circuit de 2 km à parcourir 40 fois soit 80 km, pas de difficulté majeure mais des virages avec des relances qui ont provoqué quelques chutes et la longue ligne droite d’arrivée au revêtement refait de neuf. Le départ est donné à 20h30 à près de 75 coureurs.
Dès le départ, Guillaume CONTAL a réussi à s’extirper du peloton. Plusieurs tentatives d’échappées dans les premiers tours mais il faut attendre le 5ème tour pour voir une nouvelle échappée de 2 coureurs dont de nouveau Guillaume. Ils conserveront toujours de 30 à 40 secondes et seront repris par un groupe 5 coureurs dans le dernier quart de la course. Ce groupe de 7 coureurs avec encore 3 coureurs de l’ECMV (Guillaume CONTAL, Stéphane EUGENE et Thomas REMY) résistera aux divers contres du peloton. Encore une très belle course d’équipe puisque j’ai vu nos 3 et Juniors venir contrôler l’avant du peloton
Une belle moyenne et notre échappée ira au bout malgré les efforts du peloton pour rentrer sur l’échappée. Au podium, les tours passent mais l’écart avoisine toujours 30 à 40 secondes. Circuit entièrement fermé par la municipalité de MONTGERON qui a honoré notre organisation par la présence de Madame le MAIRE, Sylvie CARILLON et l’adjoint chargé des sports, Géraud GOURY, qui ont donné le départ de cette épreuve.
A l’arrivée, Guillaume aidera Stéphane EUGÈNE dans son sprint victorieux et se classera 3ème. Thomas se classera 7ème et le peloton arrivera avec un retard de 20 secondes.
Malgré un très gros travail pour aller chercher les contres quand Guillaume était échappé avec le gros rouleur de COMBS LA VILLE, Jean Philippe DORE, Stéphane est venu s’imposer en costaud.
Un grand merci aux coureurs qui ont protégé Guillaume tout au long de la course car devant j’ai vu venir entre autre Hugo LEMELLE, Thibaut HOURS, Eric IBOUTH, Valentin HENG, Raphaël POISSON, les autres n’ayant pas démérité.
Encore une autre cerise sur le gâteau de l’ECMV, nous gagnons le prix d’équipe.
